Ravn is a surgeon working in the Emergency Department, happily married to his beloved wife Vilma. But when Vilma contracts a life-threatening illness and is refused further treatment by the hospital, Ravn abandons the established healthcare system and continues treating her in secret. Aided by Leif, a corrupt civil defence worker and doomsday prepper, Ravn finds himself forced into creating an illegal clinic deep below ground in central Oslo, treating Leif s wide network of contacts from the underworld. While Leif believes it is only a matter of time before society collapses, Ravn hopes for a miracle and that love will prevail. However, in his search to find a cure for Vilma, Ravn is forced to compromise both his ethics and morals.
