Allie (Bridget Fonda) finds that her boyfriend is cheating on her, so she kicks him out and advertises for a roommate. She selects Hedra (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a shy newcomer to Manhattan. At first Hedra seems to be the perfect flatmate, but dark secrets lie just beneath the surface.
