Jim Archer directs this comedy starring David Earl and Chris Hayward. During the winter of 2012 when farmer Brian Gittins (Earl) is trapped inside his remote cottage for several weeks, he decides to combat his loneliness by building a robot whom he names Charles (Hayward). As he welcomes a documentary crew into his home to study Charles, it is clear that Brian has found a lifelong companion in Charles.
